Operations Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Analyst is responsible for organizing, analyzing, and presenting data for consumption by our business clients. The role may require developing requirements specifications with the business and contributing to the overall design and implementation of evolving analytic solutions and visualizations, including dashboards, reports, and other forms of information output.
The Project Analyst is a customer-facing delivery expert, technology aware, resourceful, deadline-oriented, and has strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The Project Analyst will possess the ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES
The successful Operations Analyst will:

Using programming to sort, filter, and analyze data sets to identify actionable insights

Database Management

Creating, maintaining, and improving reporting and other data visualizations,s which will enable our customers to drive better decision-making

Working with client stakeholders, including the senior-level client resources, to develop requirements for reporting and other data visualizations

Working with client stakeholders, including the senior-level client resources, to assist with data-related technical questions, issues, and other data reporting needs
-
Applying electric, gas, and/or water utility knowledge to data sets and visualizations to facilitate value extraction, operational efficiencies, or other key business performance metrics
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This is an in-office-based position with some travel to other offices in Northern California on an as-needed basis.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Collaborative nature and willing to share knowledge across a broader team while contributing to reusable collateral.

Clear and timely communication internally and externally.

Ability to interact with the Client team, including project sponsors and other stakeholders.

Using a continuous improvement mentality to improve the delivery process, reduce issues or rework for the client.

Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.

Utility industry knowledge preferred.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
-
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Management, Information Technology, or similar, from an accredited school or university is required.

A minimum of 2 years of data analytics experience is required. A utility industry analytics background is preferred.
